Trust Improvement
Our Teaching Improvement Partnerships groups (TIPs) exist to advance each subject, or key area of practice (such as Inclusion and Literacy), across the trust. Subject TIP groups are responsible for the co-design and iterative improvement of their curriculums. They jointly design a layered approach to assessment that helps teachers to teach responsibly, as well as make valid deductions about how well pupils are learning the intended curriculum over time. Subject TIP groups discuss the debates that are most pressing within their national subject community. They make sure that any trust-wide initiatives are implemented intelligently and with due regard for what is special and unique about each discipline. This has enabled them to design a loose House Style for teaching their subject, which aligns with the best research about how to optimise teaching. They are an essential and productive element of the trust’s infrastructure.
